PDP's Call For IGP And INEC Boss To resign, Irresponsible - Faparusi

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC and former governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, Honourable Bamidele Faparusi, has condemned in strong terms possible, the PDP's call for the resignation of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris and the INEC chairman, Professor Muhmood Yakubu.

The former federal lawmaker, described the call as completely irresponsible and a sign that the PDP and its presidential candidate have lost the 2019 presidential election.

"In less than three months to the general elections, the call for the heads of the two most critical institutions in the country to resign is irresponsible and a sign that PDP will lose the 2019 presidential election"

"I do not need any soothsayer to tell me that PDP's call for the resignation of the IGP and INEC Boss at this crucial moment is aimed at destabilising the electoral process because there is no evidence that the duo will compromise the credibility of the 2019 general elections as insinuated by the main opposition party"

"Therefore the call for their resignation is condemnable, misplaced and uncalled for. Instead of the PDP to focus on how to redeem its battered image ahead of the election, the party is busy diverting attention of the electorate by blackmailing the ruling APC and federal government institutions"

The former national assembly member, enjoined Nigerians not to be hoodwinked by the PDP and its antics while promising that the 2019 general elections will be peaceful, fair and credible
