Obasa's Dark Secret Revealed: Supreme Court Says Former Lagos Speaker Not a Registered Lawyer

Mudasiru Obasa

In a shocking revelation, the Supreme Court of Nigeria has disclosed that Mudashiru Obasa, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, is not registered as a lawyer in the country. This development has sparked controversy, as Obasa's profile describes him as a lawyer and solicitor of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

According to the Supreme Court, they have checked their records and cannot find Obasa's name on the rolls of legal practitioners. The court has, however, given Obasa the opportunity to come forward with his call to bar and qualifying certificates for enrollment.

This is not the first time Obasa has been linked to a scandal. Previous reports have alleged that he fraudulently approved millions of naira for himself through contracts awarded to companies he owns. Additionally, he has been accused of approving large sums of money for personal expenses, including N17 million monthly for his residence and guest house, and N53 million for a trip to the United States with his mistress.

The Lagos Assembly Speaker has also been accused of leading a group of 19 lawmakers on a women's program, where they received N80 million in estacodes upon their return. These allegations have raised questions about Obasa's integrity and fitness for office.
