Prophet Godwin Ikuru, founder of the Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, has reaffirmed his intention to succeed Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Lagos State governor in 2027. Ikuru expressed confidence in his ability to lead the state, citing his extensive knowledge of Lagos' complexities and strong grassroots connections.


As a renowned prophet and philanthropist, Ikuru has accurately predicted several high-profile election victories, including that of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023. His spiritual insights have also supported the elections of governors in multiple states.


Ikuru's decision to transition from prophecy and philanthropy to politics is driven by his desire to make a more tangible impact on governance. He pledged to run on a platform of inclusivity, transparency, and development, leveraging his humanitarian efforts to improve the lives of Lagos residents.
